The PV-2 Harpoon was WWII era naval bomber built by the Vega division of Lockheed. The Harpoon was a redesign of the earlier PV-1 Ventura, itself a naval version of the original Army Air Force Ventura/B-34 Lexington.
Shortly after WWII ended, the Harpoon was replaced by another 2sday aircraft, the Lockheed P-2 Neptune.

I love Lockheeds from this period. The Harpoon and Ventura looked great, as did the Hudson, Electra, and Super Electra. All had fine lines. Beautiful ships.

this fat belly makes it, and the slight upward angle to the wings.

Good call! Back in 2011, at what was then Carswell AFB in Fort Worth (it's now called Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base), we saw this PV-2, Attu Warrior, on static display.
My son liked this plane. He's crazy about polar bears.
